Sine Die? Not Us! April 2026 was in Full Swing

While the Georgia General Assembly adjourned sine die, Science for Georgia was just getting started. April brought our inaugural "Sips of Science," Climate Survival Trainings, Earth Month events, data center talks, and a 3rd-place UGA poster finish from our MPH interns. Plus — big things ahead in May and June!

Mar 2026 – Flexingly Fabulous

March was a month of big wins — from a viral video racking up 17,000 likes, to packing an abandoned parking lot in Macon. We came close to scoring real legislative victories at the Capitol, shook up the powerful enough to stall a Senate vote, and even landed an op-ed in the AJC.

A recent Opinion piece in the AJC about the true costs of the data center expansion. Do we fund the infrastructure or do we want an actual high-tech economy. If we choose the former, we risk the latter.

Road Trippin – Feb 2026

February took us across Georgia—from Valdosta and Waycross to Columbus and Milledgeville—meeting communities organizing around data centers and pipeline expansion. Even when the topics are tough, it’s inspiring to see neighbors come together, learn, and take action—because lasting change happens when we keep showing up.

Establish a Georgia Office of Science & Technology Innovation Policy

Science for Georgia is a 501(c)(3). We work to build a bridge between scientists and the public and advocate for the responsible use of science in public policy.
