Feb 2025 – The End of January

Happy February

Welcome to the shortest month, which seems welcome after The Longest Month Ever™

A lot happened in January, a lot. Let’s all take a collective breath and think of one thing we are grateful for.

I, for one, am grateful to be surrounded by my family and friends. I am grateful for you, for reading this blog. Just know you are seen, and we are all in this together!

Some good things happened in January

  1. We had a great Membership Meeting
  2. We tested water on the South River
  3. We learned new facts at Trivia Night
  4. We participated in TWO days at the capitol: 100% Clean Energy Day and Environmental Justice Day. It was thrilling and inspiring to see over 100 people show up and tell their legislators what is important to them.
  5. We created some great information on Data Centers and their impact on our lives

Showing up is everything right now – over the next month there will be plenty of opportunities for you to make your voice heard around important issues at the state legislator.

We will also be working to make our data more publicly accessible, so you can continue to understand the world around you.

Also – there are plenty of cool things for you to do:

Feb 1 – CST: Learn to make a living fence structure

Feb 13 – monthly membership meeting – get involved. Share your interests.

Feb 15 – DIY Worm Farming

Feb 20 – GSJ: Fighting Misinformation

Feb 27 – Jazz Hands – Science Stand Up Comedy

We look forward to working with you all to continue to make Science Matter Here!
