Road Trippin – Feb 2026

Oh wow! Two months in!

We have been all across the state of Georgia this month:

Valdosta and Waycross about Data Centers.

Columbus and Milledgeville about the pipeline expansion.

It was fabulous to get out of Atlanta and meet more people. We wish it could have been under better circumstances – town halls about large polluting infrastructure – that ups health risks and lowers property values – isn’t really a cheery subject.

It is inspiring to see people show up and want to take action to protect their health and their communities. At these meetings, political affiliation doesn’t matter. It’s heartening to see people come together to learn about possible impacts to their community and then get inspired to go act.

People always thank us for coming – but it’s the other way around – we are thankful for the opportunity to come and be inspired by your actions, your resilience, and your desire to stand up.

It takes all of us to create positive change – and as long as we keep showing up – change will happen (albeit – way slower than we really want – but it’s a marathon, not a sprint).

We also did amazing other things this month such as:

  • Learning what to do with all this kudzu
  • A Go Bag Pot Luck
  • And rounding out the month with: Capitol Conservation Day, Water Wars Part II, and Jazz Hands!

The hits just keep on coming in March:

Important Legislative Dates:

Mar 6 – Crossover – all legislation must be out of one chamber and into the other to still be viable.

Apr 2 – Sine Die – last day of the session

Keep up with everything here: 2025-26 GA General Assembly Legislation Monitoring

As always – we couldn’t do this without all of you – thank you for being a part of our community.
