Accessible mushroom cultivation can foster stronger communities and a more sustainable food system. Whether you’re a hobbyist or a commercial grower, our goal is to simplify the growing process, increase yields, and unlock the incredible potential of fungi. MycoLogic committed to advancing the art and science of cultivation while making it accessible to all.

Driven by a commitment to sustainable and community-focused agriculture, they collaborate with local Georgia growers like Gowin Valley FarmsEllijay Mushrooms4Fungi’s, and Greenbox Mushrooms, providing them with the tools and knowledge to thrive. Their team of experts in microbiology, agriculture, engineering, and business is dedicated to empowering growers with affordable, effective cultivation systems.

Speaker Name:

Kyle Gabriel, Ph.D., Co-Founder and CEO of MycoLogic.

Speaker Bio:

MycoLogic was born from a lifelong fascination with fungi, dating back to co-founder Kyle Gabriel’s teenage years. By his early twenties, he was deeply immersed in the world of mushrooms, experimenting with wild foraging in South Florida, yeast cultivation for brewing, and even developing early prototypes for automated indoor growing systems. His academic journey, culminating in a Ph.D. in Applied and Environmental Microbiology from Georgia State University, further deepened his understanding of fungal biology. It was at GSU where he met fellow graduate student Chris Cornelison, who would later become his co-founder, and shared a similar passion for mycology. While his graduate research explored the complexities of fungal biology, focusing on areas like fungal pathogens and brewing science, it solidified his belief in the immense potential of mushrooms.

After graduating and joining Kennesaw State University in 2017, Dr. Gabriel, along with fellow researcher Dr. Cornelison, saw a critical need for accessible and effective growing solutions for cultivators of all levels. They began pursuing mushroom-related research in Dr. Cornelison’s Bioinnovation Laboratory at KSU. With support from grants awarded by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and the Georgia Research Alliance, they further developed their technologies and gained a deeper understanding of the mushroom market. This culminated in the founding of MycoLogic in 2021.
