Environmental Justice Day at the Capitol

Your legislators need to hear from you! Your voice is critical in advancing the needs of our community. Remember, your legislator works for you.

Please join GCEPP for Environmental Justice Day on Jan 29th from 8am to 2pm. This day will include training on issues and opportunities to meet with your legislator. We will begin at Central Presbyterian Church (201 Washington St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303) with coffee and training, and then walk to the State Capitol together.

We strive to ensure that everyone can participate fully. On the form below we have check boxes for you to indicate your needs.

Directions

Southbound on I-75/I-85
Exit 75/85 on exit 248A, MLK Jr Dr (right before the I-20 exit). 
Go straight on MLK Jr Dr,
Steeve Polk Plaza Parking (65 M.L.K. Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30303) is on the right after you cross over Courtland St
Northbound on I-75/I-85

Exit 246 Central Ave and continue stright for 0.5 miles
Right onto Memorial Dr SW
Left onto Capitol Ave SW
Pass the Capitol on your left and then turn Left on MLK Jr Dr,
Steeve Polk Plaza Parking (65 M.L.K. Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30303) is on the right after you cross over Courtland St

From Steve Polk Parking Plaza (You will have to pay for parking)
walk out of the lot past the payment kiosk
Turn left onto MLK Jr Dr
At the 1st light – turn right onto Courtland St by crossing over MLK Jr Dr
The church will be on your left as you walk along Courtland. There will probably be a lot of school buses along the street. About halfway down the block, there will be a gate into the Church courtyard. Entrance to the assembly hall will be on your right.
