Food Insecurity Presentation before Georgia General Assembly Study Committee

On Oct 6, 2021 Science for Georgia presented information to the Georgia Senate Study Committee on Improving Access to Health Foods and Eliminating Food Deserts. This committee was created by Senate Resolution 283 to better understand what Georgia is doing around Food Insecurity, especially with regard to how to get better access for healthy foods.

Amy Sharma, Jordan Ellison, and Brooke Lappe presented the information that Science for Georgia had been compiling around food insecurity, focusing on the recommendations from the Sept Food Insecurity Roundtable.
