Atlanta Science Tavern: Climate Reality Project

Description

Climate Change is a global issue and Georgia is finally starting to make its first-ever climate plan on how to combat it. With a $3 million dollar grant from the Environmental Protection Agency and the federal Inflation Reduction Act, Georgia is developing a roadmap to address climate change. It will likely be months before we find out the details, but they may not include all that scientists say the state needs to prepare for what the future holds.

Climate Reality Project is getting citizens involved to magnify their voice and force the plan to include adaptations for the effects of climate change today and climate resilience for the future.

Chuck Eyler, Chair of Climate Reality Project of Coastal Georgia

Chuck grew up in Michigan then moved to California to work in animation and video games. He retired to Savannah to volunteer for the environment and make music. He hopes to make an impact by being a part of the experiment that succeeds and saves our sacred planet.
