June 13 & 14 2024
Georgia Southern University, Armstrong Campus, Savannah, GA
On behalf of the organizing committee, Science for Georgia, Dogwood Alliance, Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW), and Emory’s Center for Children’s Health Assessment, Research Translation, and Combating Environmental Racism (CHARTER), we would like to extend an invitation to our annual Environmental Justice & Climate Protection Conference, June 13 & 14, Savannah, GA.
This conference joins together, academics, community organizers, local businesses, and policymakers to focus on actions that are working in our communities right now to create positive change around resiliency, preparedness, and proactive change to improve the human health, workforce readiness, and environmental stewardship in Georgia.
We understand you are a busy person. Two days on the coast might be too much. On Friday, June 14th, we are hosting a community listening session at 10:45-12:15 where we will summarize what we’ve learned and identify positive next steps. Your attendance at this session would be invaluable. It’s a chance to listen and talk to Georgians about issues important to them.
