Your voice is critical in advancing the needs of our community. Remember\, your legislator works for you.\n\nPlease join GCEPP for Environmental Justice Day on Jan 29th from 8am to 2pm. This day will include training on issues and opportunities to meet with your legislator. We will begin at Central Presbyterian Church (201 Washington St SW\, Atlanta\, GA 30303) with coffee and training\, and then walk to the State Capitol together.\n\n\nEJ DAY – Thursday Jan 29\, 2026\nCentral Presbyterian Church\, 201 Washington St SW\, Atlanta\, GA 30303\n(Across the street from GA State Capitol)\n8:00 AM – 2 PM\n8:00 – Check-In – continental breakfast (pastries\, coffee\, juices)\n8:35 – Welcome; training on engaging lawmakers\, review of legislation\n9:10 – Group picture in front of the Capitol\n9:20 – 11:50 Meet with your legislator\, planned meetings (or meeting at the ropes)\n12:00 – 2:00 Box lunch at church – report back on meetings with legislators\, share experience\, next steps\n\n\nWe strive to ensure that everyone can participate fully. Jr Dr SW\, Atlanta\, GA 30303) is on the right after you cross over Courtland St\nNorthbound on I-75/I-85 \nExit 246 Central Ave and continue stright for 0.5 miles\nRight onto Memorial Dr SW\nLeft onto Capitol Ave SW\nPass the Capitol on your left and then turn Left on MLK Jr Dr\,\nSteeve Polk Plaza Parking (65 M.L.K. Jr Dr SW\, Atlanta\, GA 30303) is on the right after you cross over Courtland St \nFrom Steve Polk Parking Plaza (You will have to pay for parking)\nwalk out of the lot past the payment kiosk\nTurn left onto MLK Jr Dr\nAt the 1st light – turn right onto Courtland St by crossing over MLK Jr Dr\nThe church will be on your left as you walk along Courtland. There will probably be a lot of school buses along the street. About halfway down the block\, there will be a gate into the Church courtyard. Entrance to the assembly hall will be on your right.
