Join us at the GSU Decatur campus community gardens and learn how local gardens can help GSU and the community. Gain some hands-on experience gardening. There will be opportunities to become a part of the community garden and start planting crops in your own garden bed.\n\nPlease wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed toed shoes. DESCRIPTION:Community Clean-Up in Ormewood Forest\nDate: Apr 27th \nTime: 9-12 \nLocation: 770 Shadowridge Dr SE\, Atlanta\, GA 30316 \nOrmewood Forest is a brand-new park space. Help is needed to clear out the invasive species and trash. The day will start with a brief talk from Alex Levy\, a Certified Arborist\, explaining the history of the park and what the invasive species are.  \nPlease come in long sleeves and pants. Please bring sunscreen and insect repellant.  \nPlease bring Pruners\, loppers\, folding hand saws (labeled with your name) if possible. Some garden gloves will be available for those that need but please bring garden/work gloves and hand tools if you have them. \nOrganized by EACA Parks and Greenspace Committee\, Science for Georgia\, Rep Becky Evans\, and New Life Community Alliance. \nPlease park along Shadowridge and meet on Ormewood Ave (see map below)\nEvent is rain or shine.
